I want to thank all of you who voted for me for the blog.beautiful award! What a blessing! I did not win, but I did exceed the number of votes I thought I would receive. I was very blessed to be nominated by Reveal Natural Health and Bren Did and then to receive so many votes. Thank you again!
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said,
“I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness,
but will have the light of life.”
One of the things that I love about my house is all of the sun light that pours into it. Because we have so many cloudy days in Northeast Ohio, the days of sunshine are even more special! I can’t help but think about all of the verses about light in the Bible. I love that not only are there so many references to it , but God gives us physical reminders of it everywhere!
This wreath was a gift from my mom and dad many years ago. It is made of corn husks, which is most often representative of fall and harvest. However, this photo was taken in my kitchen on a very bright, January morning.
I pray you have a beautiful day and that God’s light will shine brightly in your life!
I wrote this post on Monday afternoon. Monday evening, I watched The Good Lie with my family. It is a drama about the Lost Boys of Sudan. I wept many times while watching the movie. I could not speak when the movie ended.
And then, I read The Wake-Up Call That is Isis: Who in the Church is Answering. And I am raw and spent and challenged. I feel so challenged.
I came back to what I had previously written and I thought about just deleting it because what is sunshine in Ohio with all of the tragedy and need in the world? But the verse. That verse. Jesus is the Light of the world. HE is the answer.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Thank you, Beth. You are so kind.
We just watched The Good Lie last night! I just posted something similar to you, about how God is working all over the world through His people, spreading beauty and light in the midst of the ugly darkness.
This is so beautiful!
Yes! Even in the face of the darkness we cannot loose sight of the true light. Blessings friend and congrats on your nomination for a blog award.
