This pair of cardinals inhabits our back yard.   I’ve watched the male cardinal feed the female cardinal.  They are so sweet.  (Part of my neighbor’s pine tree is dead which is why it looks like I took this in the middle of winter instead of just a week or so ago.)  We’ve come to recognize the cardinals song.  Ed likes to imitate it.   Did you know that cardinals mate for life?
