We made it!  It’s February!  All over blogland, social media, and in real life, I’ve seen people talking about the difficult times they were having in January.  We had our share of down things in the Nicholson household as well.  January can be a tough month.  Our ancient dryer needed repaired.  Our converted coal-burner furnace from 1920 smelled funny and the repair man visited.  Our only car needed a substantial repair.

But February is here!  I really like February.  It’s a short month.  Each day that passes is a little closer to spring. Those bulbs that pop-up through the snow and mud will be right around the corner.  February is all about pink and red and love.  I’ve also seen a few pearls thrown in here and there.  Who doesn’t like pearls?

I have a few things planned this month:

  • My first giveaway.
  • Heart-shaped sugar cookies with pink icing for Valentine’s Day.
  • Blogelina has some fun bloggy stuff planned that I am going to participate in.
  • Veritas Press is having a sale on the curriculum I use for my son.  I can cross that off my July to-do list!
  • My oatmeal cake with coconut frosting recipe is in the queue for tomorrow.
  • Photos are taken for Cranberry Bliss-fully Happy Bars.  (Apparently Starbucks trademarked Cranberry Bliss or just Bliss or something?!)
  • My taxes might be completed in February and the refund (?) might be here.
  • I signed-up for a women’s event at my new church.
  • Sometimes, the bees came out on a really sunny day to get some much needed water by drinking the snow.  I hope I will be able to observe and photograph them this year!

February… Bliss!  Can I still use that word? 😉

Do you like February?  Do you have anything planned for this month?

Leave a comment and let me know.

LOVE February. New baby coming, the winter months in GA drawing to a close – and of course the Blogelina events! Can’t wait to check out some of those recipes. 🙂

I’m really grateful February is a shorter month…brings me closer to checking off another month closer to my husbands return home. Loved your photos! I’d love to see if you would be interested in a collaboration project with me that would involve providing your images for another site for a Sunday Scripture post. You would receive credit. If interested, would you email be at simplybeth3(at)gmail(dot)com?
Hope you don’t mind me sharing that here. 🙂
Thanks for sharing your love for February with us.
    Blessings.

What a beautiful list, so cheerful and appreciative. Love it all. Especially the promise of bulbs, blooms.
For February I have som deep cleaning to do in the house, maybe even bedroom rearranging as we may be adding farm residents soon. xoxo
Also lots of planning and ordering for the garden, some healthy cooking to combat the indoors-all-day-every-day ick feeling. AMD a tiny bit of decorating. Books to read, lots if writing to enjoy, so much love.

I {heart} February, but it is my birth month ;-). I am a little biased. Our checklists look very similar, just finished the taxes, looking into school for next year, but I think I need to make your yummy bars. 🙂

First-now I want some Valentine candy corn. Second-January was hard and long for us. Third-yay for a giveaway! Fourth-not overly thrilled with February, but at least it’s not January! Thanks for sharing at Fridays Unfolded!

      Sharon,

Thank you for saying I am enthusiastic! I try 🙂

We have zero signs of spring as well. I keep checking the buds on the trees 🙂

Thank you for visiting Beauty Observed! It’s nice to have you here.
