“How fun!” I find myself exclaiming this many times throughout the week. Here are just a few things that touched me or made me smile:
Happy 4th of July! I hope you have wonderful things planned for the day! I like to take a little time to read through the Constitution of the United States. I will confess that I don’t always make it all the way through, but it’s a good goal for the day.

Didn’t Ed do a fantastic job taking over hosting the blog while I was gone? I have my very own guest poster at my disposal. I think he’s a better blogger than I am. Don’t answer that 😉
I enjoyed my trip to visit my daughter, Amy, in the Washington DC area. I was able to help her pack up her classroom. (She’s a high school English teacher.) We ate in some of her favorite restaurants. I found that I.LOVE.Indian food! I was able to see a few of the historical sites. I rode the bus and the Metro. We took an Amtrak train home to Ohio. That was quite the adventure! I’m so happy that Amy will be staying with us until August. There’s no place like home and there’s nothing like having all of your chicks gathered in under the same roof!

- Saturday We will be attending a wedding and reception
- Sunday Salmon patties, macaroni and cheese, peas
- Monday Barbequed Pulled Pork sandwiches
- Tuesday Black beans and coconut rice
- Wednesday Pizza, cut up vegetables
- Thursday Quinoa salad, raw vegetables, wraps
- Friday Homemade chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles, salad
