Overwhelmed

Amazing Grace. Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come. 'Tis grace that brought me safe thus far and grace will lead me home.

Thank you all for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers.

My step-father passed away two weeks ago. My mom is now twice widowed. She has come to live with us during these initial days of grief.

My mom is disabled and can’t drive.  Ed and I are working very hard to make her home safe for her so that she can live on her own. There are so many things that need to be handled concerning her physical environment and financial state. Most of it is falling on my shoulders.

Hospice, death, and the aftermath causes one to re-evaluate priorities and callings. My husband said it well awhile ago when he said our lives seemed like a laundry basket turned upside down.

I am overwhelmed with all there is to do.

Fortunately, I know the Hope that I have in my heart. I know the One who orders my days and will see me through until the end. I know I am held in His hands and can hide under His wing.

“‘Tis Grace that brought me safe this far, and Grace will lead me home.”
