whatever is lovely... if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. Philippians 4:8

Five Beautiful Scripture Pictures for Psalm 119:81-85

I am so in love with this vibernum right now.  I had to use it for these five beautiful scripture pictures for Psalm 119:81-85.  It blooms right out side my front door at the end of my front porch.  We are blessed right now with beautiful weather so my front door is open.  The heady scent of the vibernum fills my living room and makes me so happy.

And while these aren’t the happiest of verses from Psalms, I think the white flowers add to the solemnity of the passages.

My soul longs for your salvation;

I hope in your word.

Psalm 119:81

My eyes long for your promise;

I ask, “When will you comfort me?”

Psalm 119:82

For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke,

yet I have not forgotten your statutes.

Psalm 119:83

I found this very interesting explanation of “wineskin in smoke” at BibleHub.  Very interesting.

How long must your servant endure?

When will you judge those who persecute me?

Psalm 119:84

The insolent have dug pitfalls for me;

they do not live according to your law.

Psalm 119:85

These five memes correspond with the the five verses that we will be using for our scripture journaling for Monday-Friday. I will be posting photos of my own scripture writing on the Beauty Observed instagram account. Use the hashtag #beautyobservedscripturewriting or #BOscripturewriting so that we can all enjoy each other’s work!

You can learn more about scripture journaling and how to download the free pdf here.

Many blessings on your week!
