How Fun! Vol. 38

how-fun-2

“How fun!” I find myself exclaiming this many times throughout the week. Here are just a few things that touched me or made me smile:

I promise you, I have not disappeared. I had every intention of hosting the Whatever is Lovely link-up party last Friday. My body had other ideas.

Last Wednesday evening, Aug. 13, I was walking through our dark house to retrieve something from the kitchen. I walked into a dining room chair that wasn’t where it was supposed to be. It was obvious to me that a toe on my left foot was broken. I touched it and it popped. Ouch! I instantly felt light-headed. Everyone was upstairs. I settled myself down and then made my way upstairs.

I found Ed and told him that I felt like I was going to throw up or pass out. After sitting down, I did the latter. Apparently I was making odd gurgling sounds which made Ed think that I was choking. He was able to get me to the floor while my son called the ambulance.

Fortunately, I was fine. It was not necessary to go to the hospital. After all of the dust settled, I found that I had injured my left knee in some way when I fainted. I spent two days in my bedroom because I could not make it down stairs. I am still hobbling around and haven’t been doing much.

So, that’s what happened to last Friday’s blog post. I’m beginning to be able to chuckle about it.  🙂

Praying you heal quickly, Elizabeth. Sorry I haven’t been by but FUN to be joining in for your linkup again today. I want to come visit your garden. With your list of what’s blooming it sounds beautiful. But rest up and get better soon. Much love. xoxo

Oh, Elizabeth, I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been laid up. Ouch, that sounds super painful. Having stubbed my own toe three days ago, still feeling discomfort, but thankfully not broken, I can slightly relate. It’s amazing how much something can hurt, and yet to look at it you see no visible damage. Heal well, and quickly, friend.
