“How fun!” I find myself exclaiming this many times throughout the week. Here are just a few things that touched me or made me smile:

  • More Indian food prepared by Amy.
  • My stargazer lily finally bloomed after three years!!!  It’s beautiful and fragrant.
  • A trip to the Cleveland Museum of Art.
  • Small group Bible study.

I watch a lot of British crime dramas on Netflix, PBS, and Amazon.  I found this little cheat sheet to explain what the various British police ranks mean.  You are welcome! 🙂

Summertime often means picnics.  I thought this picnic food generator was quite clever and contained some interesting ideas.  Enjoy!

What we are eating next week:

      • Saturday Picnic at a friend’s campground.  We are taking baked beans.
      • Sunday Bang bang shrimp, rice, pineapple
      • Monday Pasta, meat sauce, salad, Texas toast
      • Tuesday  Hamburgers, broccoli salad (omitting the Splenda), zesty fries
      • Wednesday Pizza with cut up vegetables
      • Thursday Grilled chicken and spinach salad
      • Friday  Salmon, asparagus, baked sweet potatoes

Baking this weekend:  Apple pie

    I don’t watch a lot of BBC cop dramas, but I do read a lot of Brit books with police, so I’ll have to look at that list. By the way, do you know we get the slang ‘cop’ from the phrase, Constable On Patol?

    Hey Sweet Elizabeth… sorry I have been a super slacker at this whole linking-up jam… The last several weeks we have been on vacation so remember to link up wasn’t at the front of my mind (entertaining a 17 month old for 2000 miles in the car was, however.)

      So nice to see you! It’s my turn to be a slacker. This is my first summer blogging. My oldest daughter has been home and most of our regular routines have been thrown out the window. I don’t see things getting back to normal until around mid-August.

      2000 miles with a 17 month old deserves a very big Starbucks. lol
