How Fun! Vol. 27

how-fun-2

“How fun!” I find myself exclaiming this many times throughout the week. Here are just a few things that touched me or made me smile:

Lily of the valley flowers not only smell fantastic, they also are very interesting to look at.  Did you know they had so much color under there?

I just started Say Goodbye to Survival Mode by Crystal Paine.  I love a good goal setting book!  With that in mind, here are my June goals:

1.)  I signed up for this Jon Acuff group.  I’m hoping to see some change in June!

2.) I am going to clean out our enclosed front porch.  There may even be before and after photos.  It is definitely not “beauty observed” right now!

3.) I am going to walk 30 minutes a day, five days a week.  I am stating it in the affirmative.  It will happen.  It MUST happen.

4.) I plan to garden.  And weed.  And garden.  And weed.  And maybe some weeding.

5.) Implement the new summer schedule for June.  As you may know, I home educate our children.  I have done all sorts of different things over the years, but this year, we are taking the summer off!!!!!  I’ve made a new summer schedule and am looking forward to it.  I will admit that there are a few fun, educational projects on the agenda.  😉

Care to share any of your June plans?  You can read about what I learned in May here.

Lots of time with my oldest son before he deploys is on the schedule and preparing for hubby to return home!! So I’m hoping for quiet time and lots of long walks in June. You always make me smile. Dawn,

I am really loving this book. I really like her writing style. I am so motivated for June. Did you listen to the Art Miller speech on youtube that she talked about? “Just do it!”

I think it’s great you decided to take the summer off from homeschooling. It is a lot of work and you deserve a break also. I think it’s great that you still plan to do educational things during the summer though. I think you will do great on your walking goal. I just joined a 90 day challenge myself, so I am setting up my fitness goals for the month also.
