How Fun! Vol. 25

how-fun-2

“How fun!” I find myself exclaiming this many times throughout the week. Here are just a few things that touched me or made me smile:

Raindrops on white crabapple blossoms from Beauty Observed

I have an instagram confession to make.  I follow lots of doxie pages. I just can’t help myself!  They are just too funny and I love the breed.  I’m sure you’ve seen our Ollie make his appearance around the blog.

I came across this quote this week by C.S. Lewis.

“To love you as I should, I must worship God as Creator.

When I have learnt to love God better than my earthly dearest, I shall love my earthly dearest better than I do now. In so far as I learn to love my earthly dearest at the expense of God and instead of God, I shall be moving towards the state in which I shall not love my earthly dearest at all. When first things are put first, second things are not suppressed but increased.”

I saw a trailer for a new movie coming out called The Hundred-Foot Journey starring Helen Mirren.  Because I am one of those people who needs likes to read the book first, I picked it up at the library yesterday.  It is now added to my never ending growing stack of books to enjoy.  (I really know nothing about the movie or the book, so if you happen to see or read it based on this mention, and you hate it, I’m sorry. lol)

We now have a Free for You page.  You can find all our past free downloads and printables.   Enjoy!

I just love that C.S. Lewis quote. Read it a couple times to let it really sink in. And I have never heard of that book or film! Adding it to my stack too…Linked up my summer clothing post. I don’t know if it qualifies as beautiful, but I happen to think there is great beauty in the art of dressing. Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for hosting!

      Alison,
I agree about the C.S. Lewis quote. It needs to be read a few times in order to really be able to take it apart and understand it.

Fashion is entirely beautiful and I’m glad you linked it up 🙂 And I can’t wait to see your awesome new haircut!

      Have a great weekend!
