I have a secret to tell you.  It’s not deep and dark and, if you’ve spent anytime with me in real life or paid attention to the type of blogs I read, you probably already know.  I pretty much love anything to do with houses, especially old houses.  I love architecture.  I love decorating.  I love landscaping around houses.  One of my favorite activities is going to open houses.  I love to read about houses…fiction or non-fiction.  I enjoy driving through old neighborhoods and gawking looking at houses.

I am very blessed to live in a three bedroom American Foursquare in the “historic” part of our town.  In fact, my backyard neighbor’s house is going to be featured in our town’s birthday celebration this year.  There are about six houses on the tour.  You can buy tickets and enjoy live music, the houses, and their gardens.  How fun is that??!!

These photos are a few more from the Walk to the Park series that I took back in January.  I hope you enjoy them!

Have a beautiful day!

When I was in college, there was a street within walking distance of my campus that had beautiful older homes that I loved to walk past. And then after college in another area of the same city (well it was technically a different town, but you can’t really tell where one ends and one begins) I used to go for walks along another street with really fancy large homes that overlook the river. That street has the homes on one side and some picnic areas on the other side so you get beautiful scenery and beautiful homes.

Hello, I also love our historical district to see the grand older homes of days gone by! Our homes today all look so much alike! Hope you have a good day! I have been baking all day!

Sigh. They really knew how to build houses with charm and character back in the day, huh? What a fun tour that must be. I’m with you-rather obsessed with all things to do with homes. And that roof is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing at Fridays Unfolded!
