The sun has decided to come out and play.  Dark cloudy days have given way to sunshine that pours through our windows and warms our homes.  The winter, in all of its beauty, felt too long.  And yet, it is about the same as it always is here in Ohio.  We could have snow well into April.

A week or two ago, in the midst of the cold and gray, I went to my local grocery store and purchased a huge armful of flowers.  I splurged for the sole purpose of photographing them for the blog.  Afterwards, I filled different vases and spread them throughout my home.  The alstroemerias were placed  in a pale green vase and taken to a bookshelf in the living room.  The dyed daises, in a small blue vase, found a new home in J.‘s room.  The pink tulips lived for a day or two on my kitchen counter.  The white daisies remained in their large blue glass vase and are still sitting at the kitchen window.

These flowers are bringing me so much joy!  Every time I catch a glimpse of them, I am reminded of the incredible beauty that God created.  Just look at the color of those tulips!  And the texture in the petals.  The way the light glows through the center.  The pollen on the stamen.   Such beauty.  Such magnificence. I really can’t wait to see Spring unfold outside my door!

I hope you have a beautiful day!

Thanks for sharing your gorgeous post at the Say G’Day Saturday link up. I just pinned this-your pictures are stunning.

Did you know I have been to Ohio? One of my dearest friends who is more like a sister to me lives there! My husband also spent a year there as a Rotary exchange student back in the ’80’s! We LOVE Ohio!

Hope to see you again this weekend.

    Best wishes,
