I’m a gardener.  I love flowers.  I’ve tried to grow vegetables with little success.  I’ll try again this year.  Did you ever notice how many things in nature point to the Christian life?

“Don’t let the glory of the flower make you miss the beauty of the leaves.”
-Ed Nicholson

This  makes me think about my journey, accepting myself and others for who God made usto be, and the body of Christ.   Here are some scripture verses that also make me think about these things.

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Psalm 139:14

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10

But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.  If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
I Corinthians 12:18-20

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
I Corinthians 12:27

What beautiful pictures, and I love this quote! When we studied flowers, I couldn’t help but notice all the tiny intricate parts of flowers & leaves, and the huge role they play in their own survival. God’s attention to detail, beauty, and necessity blew me away. We’re gardeners, but are opposite of you. 🙂 We do better with fruits & veggies than the flowers. But I’m still trying! 🙂
