How Fun! Vol. 13

howfunCAT

“How fun!” I find myself exclaiming this many times throughout the week. Here are just a few things that touched me or made me smile:

PMR Bavaria Bone China Teacup Beauty Observed

Are you a Downton Abbey fan?  I go back and forth.  I’m an episode or two behind.  Did you know that Lady Carnarvon from Highclere Castle, where Downton is filmed, has a website?  How fun!

Lady Carnarvon has written two books, Lady Almina and the Real Downton Abbey and Lady Catherine, the Earl, and the Real Downton Abbey.  I will confess that I have not read either book.  I did take Lady Almina out of the library, which totally counts for something, right?

I came across two new blogs this week that I think might be useful to some of my readers.  The first is Special Needs Siblings.  “SpecialNeedSiblings.com enables special need siblings to connect with and encourage each other, and educates others as to what Growing Up Special really means.”

The second new blog is Building Mommy Muscles which piqued my interest because Jenn writes about motherhood, fostering, and adoption.

I want to give a special shout out to A Delightsome Life, Imparting Grace, and Jordan’s Onion for featuring a post from Beauty Observed this week!  Thank you, Ladies!

And in keeping with last week’s theme of giving, I have 3 free pdf downloads!  (“It Is Good” – “Whatever is Lovely” – “Radiate Beauty”) These are bookmarks that feature a little inspiration paired with some of my photos.  My husband wrote the verse on the one about the Christian perspective on nature:

“The Christian does not worship nature, but she is free to be thankful for it, and to say along with the Creator, ‘It is good.'”

I like that!

Print them out on regular paper or card stock. They will fit fine at 100% on a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11″ paper.  Just trim them down and add a little beauty to your reading time.  🙂

  • Saturday Homemade vegetable beef soup made from beef bones.

  • Monday Tuna noodle casserole.
  • Tuesday Left overs.
  • Wednesday Pizza
  • Thursday Roast chicken, mashed potatoes, cooked carrots.

Baking this weekend:  Apple pie

I shall have to go visit that website mentioned in the beginning. I don’t have cable so I purchase DT DVD sets. I preordered mine for this season and saved some money in the process and I watched an episode every day once it came in ! 🙂 In a few months I’ll probably watch it all again. These BBC series are worth the money as they are good enough to view several times.

The bookmarks are pretty ! Just a black and white printer here and no card stock but I might print them at another time! 🙂

Oh yes, the BBC series are well worth the money. I’m an English drama junkie. lol The sets, the costumes, the dishes. Swoon!

This entire post is wonderful. But it was the quote from Joyful, Joyful which spoke deeply to me this morning. Thank you for sharing it. And I will be sharing it for sure 🙂 And thank you for hosting this linkup each week. Blessings!

I have to say THANK YOU for the video you had shared with me on Wednesday (Come To Me by Bethel Music). I’ve been listening to it ALL day long. Thanks for the beauty that is always found here too. Simply refreshing. Happy Friday.

I am so happy that you were ministered to by that video. The Come to Me song seems to be my anthem for this year. I play it over and over.

I hope you have a wonderful week! Thank you for linking-up and for visiting!

      Barbie,

I am looking forward to when you come back. I am hoping that you are getting some rest. I’ve missed you and have been praying for you! You were one of my first non-family/friend visitors who stuck around and I so appreciate that! <3

How did I not know you had a linky to enjoy? I shared my brittle recipe, even though I know you’ve already tried it. And I do like Downton, though not quite as much as the first couple of seasons. I am usually a week or two behind as well. But I can’t wait to click on Lady Carnarvon’s site! Thank you for sharing at Fridays Unfolded!

      Alison,

I’m so glad you linked-up. I need to be bolder about letting people know I host a link-up party. I’m still learning the etiquette rules.

I just finished this season of Downton and I was pleased. I love all of the costumes, settings, and traditions. Some of those story lines I could do without. Lady Carnarvon is on an American tour right now. Isn’t that exciting?

I almost made more brittle, but I restrained myself.
